This isn’t about a photo session, or even the pictures, it’s about you. Forget about posing and feeling stiff in front of the camera. Think of it as spending time with an old friend, who just happens to have a camera with them.
My process is relaxed and free-flowing, focusing on the little details that make your everyday life so extraordinary. Whether it’s a quiet glance, a shared laugh, or the chaos of kids being kids, my goal is to capture the love, connection, and fleeting moments that tell your story.
This FAQ page covers the most common questions about our sessions, from what to wear to how we handle the unexpected, so you can feel confident and relaxed before, during, and after your shoot.
How many images will I receive?
Mini Sessions include 15 high-resolution, edited images from your session of your choice. There are also options to upgrade your gallery if you want to purchase more images.
All other sessions receive all high-resolution, edited images and $100 printing credit.
Images will be delivered via a private online gallery where you can download and share your photos.
Where will the photoshoot take place?
We can shoot at a location that feels meaningful to you—whether it’s your home, a favourite park, or the beach at sunrise. I’m happy to help you choose a spot that fits the vibe you’re after.
How long does a session last?
Mini Sessions are about 30 minutes. Full sessions are 1.5-2 hours. For anything else, contact me and we can make arrangements!
What should we wear for the session?
Anything that makes you feel confident and, well, like you! Think about the location and what you envision for the shoot but I'd recommend keeping it simple.
Avoid busy patterns or logos, and feel free to bring a couple of outfit options!
Can we include pets in our photoshoot?
Absolutely! Pets are part of the family, and they bring so much personality to your photos. Just let me know in advance so I can plan accordingly.
Do you offer guidance for poses during the shoot?
Yes! My style focuses on capturing genuine, candid moments, but I’ll gently guide you into flattering angles and interactions to help you feel comfortable and confident in front of the camera.
What if my kids don’t cooperate during the shoot?
Don’t worry—kids being themselves often leads to the most genuine and heartwarming photos. I approach every session with patience and flexibility, focusing on creating a relaxed environment. My advice is to stay calm and not stress, as children tend to pick up on that energy.
In my experience, once they feel safe and comfortable, they naturally warm up and their true personalities shine through.
Can we bring extended family to the session?
Of course! Whether it’s grandparents or cousins, including extended family can make your photos even more special.
Keep in mind that if you have a lot of people you want to capture, the Mini Sessions aren't suited as we have such a limited time. We can arrange a full session to allow enough time to capture the magic of your whole family.
What happens if the weather is bad on the day of the session?
If we’re shooting outdoors and the weather isn’t cooperating, we’ll reschedule at no extra cost or choose an alternative indoor location. I’ll stay in touch leading up to the day to make sure we’re all set.
How far in advance should we book our session?
I recommend booking at least 3–4 weeks in advance, especially if you’re aiming for a weekend or specific time of year. This ensures I can reserve your preferred date.
However my bookings remain open so you can book as early as tomorrow if it's available!
I am frequently updating my availability so keep an eye out or contact me! Luckily my life is fairly flexible so it's always best to ask!
When will we receive the edited photos?
Your edited gallery will be ready within 2–3 weeks after the shoot. I’ll send you a link to download your images as soon as they’re complete.
Do you offer prints or albums in addition to digital images?
Yes! When viewing your gallery, you can shop for a number of special keepsakes that get sent straight to your door!
